CIE International Fellowship Member

CGS is an International Fellowship member of Cambridge University’s International Examinations. This special award was bestowed upon CGS for its commitment to CIE and partnership for their in-country training programmes. It is one of only 76 Fellowship Centres from over 9,000 Cambridge schools in 160 countries worldwide and the only one in Bangladesh.

Cambridge Examination Centre

CGS is a registered centre with the University of Cambridge. ‘O’, ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level Examinations and many of these are held in the school premises. ICT starters and Checkpoint Tests are also held for students between the Classes of 2 and 8.

ISS Listing

CGS is listed in the International School Services (ISS) directory of International Schools, USA. CGS is the only school to be officially recognized as an international school in Chittagong.

Round Square Organisation

As member of the Round Square organization, CGS is regularly represented in conferences and exchanges across the globe. Patrons include: His Majesty King Constantine, HRH the Duke of York CVO ADC, late Mr. Nelson Mandela and Carl Kielburger. CGS hosts a Regional Round Square Conference annually.

College Board

CGS is the only SAT I, SAT II and Pre-Sat center in Chittagong. SAT examinations are conducted at the school premises several times each year.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

CGS is a member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme (DOE). Students of Class 8 and above are required to participate and fulfil the DOE criteria in order to obtain the different categories of awards based on physical technical skills, community service and leadership traits.

Harvard MUN (Model United Nations)

CGS is a member of the Harvard MUN and sends a team every year to the annual conference in Boston. In addition, it is represented in international MUN conferences at home and abroad based on the UN format and Parliamentary Debate sessions.
